INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

Saturday, June 29, 2024 | 10 am to 4 pm

Step into history and celebrate the birth of America with your whole family at the Printing Museum!  

Join us for interactive tours of the Museum’s galleries, plus hands-on activities like printing your own copy of the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, and the Star Spangled Banner on antique presses. We’re also planning a demonstration of graceful dancing of the colonial and Jane Austen periods that will delight audiences young and old. 

In the Museum’s Heritage Theatre, there will be a special theatrical presentation featuring Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and Betsy Ross. Hear how each played a critical role in the the founding of our country. Ben Franklin will also entertain audiences with a demonstration of his Glass Armonica; Jefferson will highlight how the Declaration of Independence came about; and Betsy Ross will bring to life the Stars and Stripes that defined our new nation.

Tours and demonstrations throughout the day; theatre shows at 11 am and 1 pm.

General Admission is $15. Members, Students, & Seniors are $12. Children under 3 are free.

MUSEUM CLOSURES

The Museum is open to the public on Saturdays, 10 am to 4pm, except when we are hosting scout programs.

We will be closed on the following Saturdays in 2024: February 17, March 16, April 20, May 18, June 22, July 20, Aug 24, Sept 21, Nov 9 & Nov 16.
