Please join us for this special hands-on workshop combining music and printing! Create a poster of your favorite lyrics using the museum's amazing collection of historic wood type and presses.

Think of a favorite song. Are some of the lyrics especially meaningful to you?

This hands-on course will include how to select and handset vintage wood type, as well as brief demonstrations on typography such as kerning, leading, and spacing. Learn how to lock up your form and print with a Vandercook press. Leave with a small edition of letterpress posters that you made yourself!

All are welcome. No experience needed.

For the safety of the class, participants will need to provide proof of vaccination and wear masks while indoors.
