Get ready for some creative family time when you join us for a half-day “makers workshop” that encourages the exploration of the world of book artistry. This hands-on workshop features artistic bookbinding, paper making, letterpress printing, and rubber stamping. Instruction is geared towards families with children aged 8-12. Sorry, no drop-offs and no children under age 5. All materials provided.
Book Arts Patch Day for Girls

Class Length: Full-Day (6 hrs)
For girls age 10-18, a not-to-miss experience opportunity to explore the creative world of the Book Arts at the Printing Museum! Participants will rotate in small groups among 8 activity stations as they learn about the world of book arts, find out how books have been made over time and in different cultures, and explore the modern artistic expression of books. Each participant will have a chance to grind pulp and make paper by hand, learn mechanical and artistic methods of bookbinding, screen print their own t-shirt, print letterpress keepsakes and cards on an antique press, do paper marbling, and more! The day is filled with lots of hands-on activities and detailed presentations by industry experts and educators. SPACE IS LIMITED. Advance registration is required
